On April 9, 2025, an inspection team visited our university to conduct an on-site assessment of the Guizhou Open University IELTS Computer-Based Test Center. The delegation included:
· Xiong Yanqing, Division Director of the National Education Examinations Authority (NEEA)
· Qi Yini, Manager of the Online Examination Support Department at NEEA
· Xiang Tian, Southwest Regional Test Center Manager of the British Council
· Sun Tianyu, IT Service Delivery Manager
Vice President Zhou Yong of our university warmly welcomed the inspection team and expressed sincere gratitude for their guidance. Yu Ping, Director of the IELTS Computer-Based Test Center, presented a comprehensive report covering five key aspects:
1. Organizational structure
2. Geographical advantages of the test center
3. Examination venue construction
4. IT equipment configuration
5. Examination team development
The inspection team conducted a thorough on-site evaluation of the test center facilities, including:
· Examination areas
· Computer labs
· Chief examiner's office
· Secure materials storage room
· Testing equipment and systems
Following the assessment, Xiang Tian thanked the university for its strong support during the preparatory phase of the test center. Xiong Yanqing affirmed the quality of the test center's construction while emphasizing four critical requirements:
1. Examination team security protocols
2. Examination process safety measures
3. Test venue security standards
4. Public relations management for the test center
This inspection served as both a comprehensive evaluation of our university's preparatory capabilities and an important guide for future examination operations. Moving forward, we will:
· Use this assessment as a foundation for improvement
· Develop standardized operational procedures based on this experience
· Establish the test center as a vital platform for serving society
· Provide candidates with a fair and high-quality IELTS testing environment
