On the evening of July 24, the university held the 2026 China-ASEAN Education Exchange Week International Youth “Summer” Concert under the theme “Lifelong Learning, a Harmonious World, and a Desk for You at the Open University,” building a bridge of friendship through youth and empowering lifelong learning through culture.

Guided by the Secretariat of the Organizing Committee of the China-ASEAN Education Exchange Week, hosted by our university, and co-organized by sister institutions across the province, the event is one of the key featured activities of this year’s year-round China-ASEAN Education Exchange Week. Youths from 12 ASEAN and Belt and Road countries gathered in Guizhou to promote transnational educational interaction, cultural exchange, and shared ideals. At the venue, Chinese and foreign youths performed impromptu ensembles, multilingual songs rang out one after another, and jazz rhythms blended with ethnic melodies; below the stage, volunteers handed out 1,500 popsicles printed with “A Desk for You at the Open University,” conveying the concept of lifelong education with a touch of summer coolness.

The university upholds its philosophy of “Openness in Guizhou, Integration in Vocational Education,” takes serving social development and facilitating international educational exchange as its core mission, deepens the development of a lifelong learning system for all, and builds diversified and international platforms for learning and exchange. Next, during the ASEAN opening period, the university will also host the international forum “Digital and Intelligent Empowerment for Lifelong Learning — Building a New Ecosystem for Human Lifelong Learning” and the Generation Z International Youth Esports Invitational Tournament, continuing to explore new paradigms for the opening-up of lifelong education.
