On June 15, Gao Xiang, Party Secretary of Zunyi Open University, led a delegation to Zhuhai to attend the inauguration ceremony of the Zhuhai-Zunyi-Macao Cross-border Study Community held at Zhuhai City Polytechnic. Under the joint guidance of the Macao Bureau of Education and Youth Affairs, Zhuhai Municipal Education Bureau, and Zunyi Municipal Education and Sports Bureau, four institutions—Zhuhai City Polytechnic, Macao China-Portugal Vocational and Technical School, Zunyi Vocational and Technical College, and Zunyi Open University—representing three regions and four colleges, signed a cooperation agreement.

This collaboration is a concrete step toward implementing national vocational education reform, the development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and the revitalization strategy for revolutionary old base areas. Our university will leverage its rich red cultural resources, centering on “anchoring values in the revolutionary legacy”, align with our educational mission of “stabilizing formal degree programs, expanding community education, and promoting large-scale social training”, break down geographical barriers, and integrate “red education, industry-based education, and patriotic education” throughout the entire process.

Through the community mechanism, our university will focus on three key dimensions: introducing high-quality courses and faculty from Zhuhai and Macao to strengthen foundational degree programs; linking Zhuhai’s industrial systems with Macao’s international standards to deliver vocational skills training and enhance service effectiveness; and drawing on Greater Bay Area experiences to create a distinctive “Red + Industry” study brand, thereby expanding new horizons in community education.

Moving forward, we will steadily implement the agreement and contribute significantly to building an education system serving lifelong learning for all.
