From August 20 to 25, 2024, the China-ASEAN Education Exchange Week took place at the permanent venue in Gui’an New District, Guiyang City, Guizhou Province. During this period, GZOU(GZVTI) and the Guizhou E-sports Association co-hosted the International Youth E-sports Competition from August 21 to 22, which attracted top e-sports players from China and ASEAN countries. After two days of fierce competition, the GOD team won the championship, the Yunmeng team the runner-up, and the SVG and Guiqi teams respectively won the third and fourth places. At the award ceremony, the winning teams were highly praised.

This competition was not only a feast of e-sports but also showcased the spirit of unity and competition among the players. GZOU(GZVTI) cooperated with the E-sports Association to establish the China-ASEAN E-sports Study Tour Center, promoting the integration of education with culture, sports, and tourism. Through measures such as e-sports talent training and the construction of anchor bases, the soft power of e-sports talents has been enhanced, and the deep integration of the education chain, talent chain, industry chain, and innovation chain has been promoted, driving the high-quality development of vocational education.

As a part of the Education Exchange Week, the competition deepened the exchange and cooperation between China and ASEAN in the field of e-sports, and through e-sports as a cultural form, it promoted cultural exchange and spiritual connection between the youth of both sides.
