On the afternoon of August 21, the China-ASEAN Digital Education Alliance 2024 Annual Meeting, hosted by the Open University of China and organized by its Guizhou branch, was successfully held at the permanent venue of the China-ASEAN Education Exchange Week in Guiyang City, the Qunsheng Hall. Linghu Caitao, the Party Committee Secretary of our university, spoke as a representative of the new member, accompanied by Zhang Renjun, Deputy Party Secretary, Luo Zuiyong, Discipline Inspection Commissioner, and Zhou Yong, Party Committee member and Vice Principal.

More than 120 representatives from universities, research institutions, and enterprises of China and ASEAN attended the meeting. Wang Qiming and Fan Xianrui from the Open University of China were appointed as the chairman and secretary-general of the alliance, respectively. In her speech, Linghu Caitao, the Party Committee Secretary of our university, emphasized the importance of digital education and pledged to work with alliance members to advance the digital transformation of education and contribute to achieving the Education 2030 goals.

Participants engaged in in-depth discussions on new pathways for digital education cooperation, recognizing that digital technology provides new opportunities to enhance the quality and coverage of education. The alliance plans to strengthen collaborative research, build shared educational resources, enhance capacity building, and expand international cooperation to cultivate more digital talents, embracing the future of digital education together.
