On August 23, 2024, GZOU(GZVTI) successfully held the “2024 China-ASEAN Education Exchange Week Lan-Mei Industry-Education Integration Achievement Exhibition and Exchange Activities” in the Gui’an New Area. This event gathered representatives from governments, institutions, and enterprises from China, Laos, Cambodia, Thailand, and other countries, participating through a combination of online and offline methods. Yang Tianyi, a member of the Party Group of the Guizhou Provincial Department of Education and Deputy Director, Daoung Phonethavong, the Executive Vice Chairman of the Lao National Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Zou Yi, a second-level inspector of the Guizhou Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, Linghu Caitao, the Party Committee Secretary of the university, Tang Jian, the Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Principal, were invited to attend, and Yu Liqun, a member of the Party Committee and Vice Principal, presided over the meeting.

The Party Committee Secretary of the university, Linghu Caitao, delivered a keynote speech titled “Building a New Pattern of Industry-Education Integration to Stimulate New Vitality in Vocational Education Development”, introducing the university’s practices and explorations in industry-education integration and the reform and development of vocational education. The meeting also awarded the first batch of “China-Laos Vocational Standards Joint Construction and Application Centers”, including our university, to promote practical cooperation in China-ASEAN vocational education. Our university stated that it will continue to deepen industry-education integration, cultivate high-quality skilled technical talents, and empower characteristic vocational education.
