From September 16th to 21st, the Party Committee’s Security Department of Guizhou Vocational Technology Institute, in collaboration with Binyang Police Station and Guanshanhu District Fire Brigade, organized a series of safety education activities for the freshmen of 2024. The activities included safety knowledge lectures, emergency rescue drills, and emergency evacuation drills, aiming to enhance the safety awareness and self-protection abilities of the new students.

Police officer Han Chaoxiang explained the common types of fraud and prevention methods that college students often encounter through real cases and guided them to download the “Golden Bell Cover” anti-fraud mini-program. The Security Department, in line with the situation of the college, popularized safety knowledge from multiple perspectives to the new students and guided them to study with focus, get along harmoniously, and grow healthily through case analysis, to jointly build a safe and warm campus environment.

The Fire Brigade used equipment such as fire trucks and firefighting robots to instruct new students in the practical operation of fire extinguishers and to learn skills such as sprinkler equipment and firefighting robot rescue. In the emergency evacuation drill, new students quickly and orderly evacuated in a simulated fire, enhancing their ability to respond to emergencies.

This series of activities has caused a strong response and widespread discussion among freshmen. They stated that they have gained a deeper understanding of how to prevent fraud, fire safety, and emergency evacuation, and pledged to remain vigilant to contribute to campus safety.
