To enhance the internationalization of our university, further advance the globalization of faculty development, talent cultivation, scientific research, and administrative services, and consolidate previous exchange achievements with New Zealand institutions, our university held an online collaboration meeting with New Zealand Vision College on the morning of March 25. Attendees included Arwyn Singh, International Business Development Manager of New Zealand Vision College; Alex Cui, Chinese Representative of New Zealand LENZ Education Group; as well as leaders and relevant staff from our university’s School of International Studies, Teacher Affair Department, and School of Information Engineering. Both sides engaged in in-depth discussions on international education cooperation projects.

During the meeting, the two institutions first provided an overview of their respective profiles through promotional videos. In 2024, our university dispatched a delegation for the "Vocational Education International Cooperation and Global Capacity Enhancement Mission" to Australia and New Zealand, with New Zealand Vision College being one of the visited institutions. The college offers programs in business management, information technology, early childhood education, agriculture, and other fields, emphasizing hands-on training by providing students with internship and practical opportunities to cultivate well-rounded professionals. Currently, New Zealand Vision College is actively exploring collaborations with Chinese universities to strengthen exchanges and cooperation in teaching, research, and university-industry partnerships.

Chen Lina, Dean of School of International Studies, introduced the current state of international exchanges for our faculty and students. Qing Yun, Dean of the School of Information Engineering, and Liu Ying, Deputy Director of Teacher Affairs Department, discussed student overseas degree advancement programs and faculty overseas training needs, respectively, with New Zealand Vision College. The overall trend of educational cooperation between China and New Zealand presents further possibilities for deeper collaboration between the two institutions. Moving forward, both sides will engage in practical cooperation in areas such as short-term student study programs and faculty training.
