On the afternoon of August 28th, a delegation from the Department of Information and Communication Technology of Rondônia State, Brazil, led by Minister Dener Freire, visited our university accompanied by Jiang Zhenghua, a second-level researcher from the Foreign Affairs Office of Guizhou Province and the Guizhou Provincial People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries.

The delegation visited the Civil Aviation Industry-Education Integration Open Training Base, learning about its three-in-one functions of “teaching demonstration, skills competition, and new technology experience”. They then visited the training base of the School of Information Engineering and the Holographic Experience Hall of the School of Business and Trade, highly praising the university’s information technology and artificial intelligence training conditions as well as the achievements in digital skills talent cultivation.
After the visit, a symposium was held at the Yuntan South Road Campus. Vice President Lin Changsong presided over the meeting, and President Luo Yong and relevant heads of secondary schools attended. Minister Dener Freire introduced the current development status and demands of the information and communication technology field in Rondônia State, hoping that this visit would serve as an opportunity to explore possible cooperation in areas such as artificial intelligence, mobile internet, and digital economy. Both sides had in-depth exchanges around “Digital Empowerment for Regional Development” and “Professional Training Services for Industrial Upgrading”.
President Luo Yong introduced the characteristics of Guizhou and the development of the university, expressing the hope for future practical cooperation in talent cultivation, technological exchange, and industrial empowerment, establishing a deep friendship, and jointly promoting educational cooperation and friendly exchanges between China and Brazil.
