On the morning of October 16th, the opening ceremony of the “Chinese Language + Vocational Skills” Teacher Training Program class was held in the 6th floor conference room of the university’s administrative building. Lin Changsong, a member of the university’s Party Committee and vice president, attended and delivered a speech. The heads of the School of International Studies, the Student Affairs Department, the Teaching Affairs Office and other departments, as well as teacher representatives, and five Laotian international students participated.

After all the teachers and students watched the university’s promotional video, Lin Changsong said that this project is an important measure to serve the “Belt and Road Initiative” and deepen educational cooperation between China and Laos. It aims to cultivate local teacher backbone in Lamphuntha Province, Laos, who are proficient in Chinese, understand Chinese culture, and master vocational skills, to promote the development of local vocational education. He encouraged the students to become a bridge for cultural exchange and friendship between China and Laos.
The Laotian student representative, Phonesavanh Phounsone, expressed his expectations and determination to learn. Teacher representative Gao Yu promised to provide high-quality teaching support.
Finally, Lin Changsong presented the university badges to the students and announced the official opening of the program class. The launch of this project marks a solid step taken by the university in promoting the internationalization of “Chinese Language + Vocational Skills” talent cultivation and deepening educational cooperation between China and Laos, injecting educational strength from Guizhou into the construction of a community with a shared future between China and Laos.
