On the afternoon of November 21st, our university held the “Face-to-Face with the Party Secretary and President” event at the Student Affairs Center, with the theme of “Listening to ‘New’ Voices and Discussing the Future”. Party Secretary Linghu Caitao and Party Committee Vice Secretary Luo Linglong attended the event, along with the heads of various functional departments and student representatives from each school.

Before the event, the Party Committee’s Department of Student Affairs collected opinions from students regarding their adaptation, academic development, life services, campus governance, and medical health. They also selected outstanding student representatives with proposals. During the event, the freshmen representatives had in-depth exchanges with the university leaders and department heads on issues related to their study and life. The relevant functional departments responded on the spot and clarified the direction and measures for improvement. During the event, the university leaders also presented winter warmth to students from economically disadvantaged families.

Subsequently, the Party Committee’s Department of Student Affairs will summarize and organize the students’ opinions and suggestions and transfer them to the relevant departments. Each functional department will formulate improvement plans and complete them within a limited time to ensure the implementation of the issues. This event promptly responded to students’ concerns, implemented the “student-centered” educational philosophy, and through listening to “new” voices and gathering collective wisdom, it has gathered the joint efforts of the campus for co-construction, co-governance, and shared benefits, injecting impetus into creating a harmonious, inclusive, and positive educational environment.
