The “President’s Cup” Campus Football League and the “Ban Chao” Fun Football Challenge of 2025-2026 kicked off on November 21, 2025, at our university. This event aims to implement the decisions and plans of the Central Committee and others regarding campus football and promote the integration of culture, tourism, and sports in education. The university’s Party Secretary, Linghu Caitao, delivered a speech, and the President, Luo Yong, kicked off the event.

The opening ceremony began with the national anthem. Linghu Caitao stated that the university adheres to the principle of “five educations in parallel”, and this event deeply integrates sports competition, cultural inheritance, and local cultural tourism resources. It is not only an important measure to enrich campus culture but also an innovative attempt to cultivate students’ comprehensive qualities and inherit excellent traditional Chinese culture. She hopes that the athletes will demonstrate a spirit of hard work and experience the charm of culture.

The cultural performances were a highlight: the intangible cultural heritage inheritor of Anshun Dige performed “A Thousand Miles Alone on Horseback”, showcasing the charm of intangible cultural heritage; the Dong ethnic chorus and the campus rock band collaborated on “I’m Waiting for You in Guizhou”, where the ethnic melody and rock passion collided, evoking resonance; the street dance club and the athletes jointly presented “Let’s Set Out for Happiness”, igniting the atmosphere; and the football team and other teams jointly presented the youth sports show “We Are All Dream Chasers”, showcasing the style of college students.

The team grouping of the event was the finishing touch of the integration of culture, tourism, and sports. The university grouped the six participating teams as “Huang Xiaoxi’s Dinner” as a memory code, corresponding to the teams of Huangguoshu, Xiaoqikong, Xijiang Thousand Households Miao Village, Chishui Danxia, Wanfenglin, and Fanjing Mountain, all named after well-known cultural tourism IPs in Guizhou, creatively connecting campus sports with Guizhou’s cultural tourism resources and injecting vitality into the campus.
