Recently, the Open University of China officially announced the list of winners for the second term of Excellent Case Collection Activity on Family Education in the New Era. The family education case “Inheriting Intangible Cultural Heritage to Nourish Children’s Hearts: Cultivating Children’s Growth Power through Clay Whistles and Paper Fragrance” submitted by the Guizhou Community Education Guidance Service Center won the third prize in the student group and the “Outstanding Case Manuscript Award”!

This work is based on local conditions and is ingeniously designed. It skillfully integrates intangible cultural heritages such as “clay whistles” and “paper fragrance” into daily family education, vividly demonstrating the practical path of cultivating children’s growth power through the immersion of traditional handicrafts. The case fully reflects the deep integration of family education and the inheritance of ethnic culture. With its unique perspective and significant educational achievements, it has won unanimous recognition from experts.
We hope that all teachers and students in the province can take this as an example, continue to explore and practice bravely, discover and summarize more excellent family education cases with Guizhou characteristics, and jointly contribute to creating a new situation in family education work in our province!
