As the 2026 Spring Festival approaches, the university has launched a visit and consolation activity for retired leaders, veteran Party members, and elderly comrades with special difficulties. Led by the Party Secretary Linghu Caitao and the Deputy Party Secretary and President Luo Yong, all the university leaders visited and consoled retired leaders and elderly comrades one after another. The responsible person of the Retired Cadres Work Office participated in the consolation.

The university leaders entered the homes of the elderly comrades, carefully inquired about their physical conditions, daily life and actual needs, patiently answered their policy inquiries, and listened attentively to their opinions and suggestions on the development of the university. The university leaders detailedly introduced the remarkable achievements made by the university in the past year in discipline construction, talent cultivation, scientific research innovation, etc., thanked the elderly comrades for laying a solid foundation for the development of the university and their long-term care and support, and urged them to take good care of their health and enjoy their old age. The elderly comrades thanked the university for its concern and greetings, and expressed that they would continue to support the university’s work as always and contribute their remaining heat to the high-quality development of the university.

The consolation activities have united the hearts and conveyed warmth, further stimulating the good atmosphere of respecting, caring for and loving the elderly throughout the university. The university will continue to do a good job in the work related to retired cadres, continuously improve the care and service mechanism, ensure that the elderly comrades have a comfortable old age, enjoy their old age and contribute to it, and jointly write a new chapter of the high-quality development of the university with all the teachers and students.
