Recently, our university’s 2026 Malaysia Summer Study Program successfully concluded. Over the 14-day cross-border educational journey, students explored the world with their own feet and gained growth through hands-on experiences, returning home enriched and inspired.

Centered on “immersive learning + in-depth cultural engagement,” this program transformed the experience into a mobile international classroom. Through full English-language training, students systematically developed leadership and communication skills, breaking down language barriers through practical speaking exercises, significantly enhancing both their English proficiency and confidence. In ASEAN simulation exercises, participants took on roles as representatives of member nations, engaging in negotiations and debates on regional issues. Through role-playing, they deepened their understanding of multilateral cooperation, strengthening their global perspective and international mindset.

From iconic landmarks in Kuala Lumpur to historic straits in Malacca, from natural wonders in Selangor to the academic halls of MAHSA University, students immersed themselves in Malaysia’s rich cultural diversity. Through hands-on activities such as henna painting and traditional ethnic dances, they appreciated cultural differences firsthand, continuously improving their intercultural communication and inclusiveness. Meanwhile, a series of leadership development activities and team challenges enabled students to learn effective communication through collaboration and enhance their problem-solving abilities in practice—gaining not only personal growth but also lasting friendships.

This study program allowed students to step beyond the campus walls, broadening their horizons, expanding their knowledge, and sharpening their capabilities within a global classroom, laying a solid foundation for their future development.
