Recently, the results of the 16th National Undergraduate Mathematics Competition have been announced. The students of our university , after diligent preparation, have demonstrated their sharp skills, winning 2 first prizes, 6 second prizes, and 1 third prize. The competition received high attention from the school and university leaders. Under the meticulous organization of the School of Information Engineering, a special competition guidance team was established. Instructors used their spare time to conduct targeted training and tutoring for the participating students through a combination of online and offline methods.

It is reported that the 16th National Undergraduate Mathematics Competition in the Guizhou division (non-mathematics category) attracted more than 5600 students from over 30 higher education institutions in Guizhou, including Guizhou University and Guizhou Normal University, to register for the competition. The competition used a unified set of questions nationwide, with undergraduate and vocational students taking the same exam paper.

The National Undergraduate Mathematics Competition is hosted by the Chinese Mathematical Society and is a high-level academic competition aimed at college students across the country. Its purpose is to strengthen basic subject education, enhance the quality of talent training in China’s higher education institutions, promote the construction of mathematics courses in colleges and universities, and serve teaching. It also aims to improve students’ mathematical literacy, cultivate their ability to analyze and solve problems, and provide a platform for young students to showcase their foundational knowledge and thinking skills.
