On September 12th, a delegation of seven people led by President JILL KU MARTIN of University of North America in the United States visited our university. The delegation visited the training base of the School of Aeronautics and the competition and training center of the School of Information Engineering, experienced simulated cabin driving, and interacted with robot dogs and intelligent robots. They highly praised the vocational education training achievements of our university.

At the symposium, the Secretary of the Party Committee of the university Linghu Caitao and President Luo Yong attended, and Vice President Lin Changsong presided over the meeting. The heads of relevant secondary schools and functional departments participated in the exchange. President Luo Yong delivered a welcome speech, introducing the cultural characteristics of Guizhou and the development history of the university. JILL KU MARTIN, the President of University of North America, shared the university’s educational experience. Her innovative “internship while studying” model is deeply in line with our university’s goal of building a “university without walls” and establishing a lifelong education system. Both sides had in-depth discussions on cooperation projects such as mutual visits of teachers and students, mutual recognition of credits, and e-sports competitions. The Secretary of the Party Committee Linghu Caitao proposed three initiatives: launching a “summer short-term visit and study” program for teachers and students, establishing a green channel for “junior college to undergraduate” and “undergraduate to master’s” education, and jointly holding high-level international competitions. These proposals were positively responded to by the other party.

This visit effectively promoted mutual understanding and the implementation of cooperation intentions between the two universities, laying a solid foundation for expanding the scope of exchanges and deepening practical cooperation.
