When the joy of the Lantern Festival meets the warmth of the campus, Guizhou Open University (Guizhou Vocational Technology Institute) invites all teachers and students to a lively Lantern Festival celebration. In the traditional culture, we savor the flavor of the New Year, and in the laughter and joy, we gather warmth. Let this Lantern Festival be sweeter because of reunion and warmer because of companionship!
Reunion Sweet Dumplings: Soft and Chewy, Filled with Blessings
As the morning light began to brighten, the campus was already filled with warmth. The university prepared warm sweet dumplings for the students. The white and plump sweet dumplings, wrapped in sweet fragrance, were served in bowls and held in their hands. A bite of the soft and chewy sweet dumplings brought warmth to their throats, dispelling the chill of early spring, and was filled with the university’s care and expectations.

Heartwarming Lunch Gathering: Sitting Together, Sharing Joy on the Lantern Festival.
“Happy Lantern Festival, everyone! I wish you all progress in your studies and success in the new year!” During lunchtime, the party secretary and the principal of the university sat together with the students at a table, asking about their recent studies and lives with warmth. The students also shared their interesting experiences during the winter vacation. The scene was full of warmth and joy.

Intangible Cultural Heritage Experience Workshop: Passing on Skills through Fingers, Encountering Tradition.
After lunch, the Lantern Festival event was bustling with activity. Everyone immersed themselves in the charm of intangible cultural heritage experiences such as making lacquer fans, printing “Fu” characters, enjoying matcha, and playing traditional games like throwing arrows and hitting the ball.

This event not only allowed teachers and students to experience the joy of traditional Lantern Festival customs in laughter and joy, but also brought the university and students closer together, making the students feel the warmth of home on campus.
